Selling a house is a completed process.  One of the things to remember is that there is only one first look.  This means that if your home isn’t eye catching it may be passed over.

OUTSIDE: Things to check are that there are no trip hazards and that the exterior is clean and in good condition.  Grass cut, trees trimmed and colorful flowers are a great way to present the exterior first look.

INSIDE:  Remove clutter.  An interesting aspect of the human brain’s perception is that to get a more objective look at the rooms and kitchen is to take pictures and look at the pictures.  This allows you to see the room clutter without the home comfort acceptance that we subconsciously ignore clutter.

Make sure furniture is clean.  No paint scuffs. 

Baking bread or cookies adds a pleasant smell when a buyer first enters.

Fragrant flowers in a vase are a great idea.

Following these few tips can put your home on the top of the list for potential buyers!
